An Iconic Encounter in Ravenna: Giusti and the British Royals

In Ravenna, a city long recognised as a crossroads of history and cultural exchange, Italian excellence took centre stage during the official visit to Italy of His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla. On this occasion of great institutional significance, Giusti was honoured to represent Made in Italy through the universal language of taste.

In Piazza del Popolo, at the heart of the city, the British Royals - accompanied by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and his daughter Laura - visited an open-air market dedicated to Italian and British gastronomic excellence. Conceived as a celebration of craftsmanship and identity, the market offered a refined journey through territories, traditions and artisanal knowledge that have shaped the heritage of both nations over centuries.

Among the selected Made in Italy specialities, Giusti’s Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena stood as an expression of Modenese excellence, conveying a history defined by time, patience and passion. Presented both in its pure form and in a contemporary interpretation as a cocktail with apple cider, Giusti Balsamic Vinegar revealed its remarkable versatility, demonstrating how a product deeply rooted in tradition can engage with contemporary expressions without losing its authenticity.

Queen Camilla showed particular appreciation for Giusti Balsamic Vinegar, pausing to savour the tasting and allowing herself to be captivated by its balance and aromatic complexity - qualities that have earned it worldwide recognition as the “Black Gold of Modena.” A spontaneous gesture that transformed the tasting into a genuine moment of cultural connection.

A moment of great significance, reaffirming how tradition can evolve into a contemporary language, capable of creating dialogue, connection and shared experience through taste.
