Design Week 2024: TIMEMADE by David Dolcini

April in Milan means Design Week: the world's most important scattered exhibition dedicated to design and furniture. For the whole duration of the International Furniture Show, the city is enlivened by Fuorisalone events, which involve various areas and themes.

Giusti, through its Via Spadari Boutique located in the Cinque Vie District, also joins this event, celebrating the artistic and architectural heritage of Italy.

On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2024, Giusti hosted an exclusive artistic exposition at its boutique, curated by David Dolcini. The Parmesan artist presented the TIMEMADE project at Giusti Boutique, an idea born from the desire to illustrate the impact that time has on man and the fruits of his labor through wood, an essential element in the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

In a historical era where speed is a crucial variable for industrial processes, we celebrate a culture of know-how based on the respect for time, material, and nature.

Wood, craftsmanship, time, and transformation are the keywords connecting the designer’s creations to Giusti Balsamico di Modena.

These elements play a fundamental role in the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena: they are responsible for its complexity and aromatic intensity, making its taste unique and enriching the cultural heritage of the product itself.

The partnership with David Dolcini is part of a research path that aims to enhance the barrels which have contained our Balsamico di Modena for years.

These same barrels are still used to create new and interesting projects, such as our Vermouth, matured in the barrels of our aging room; Alchimia, the limited-edition pralines by Gianluca Fusto, made with chocolate refined in barrels; 1605, the ice cream by Ciacco Lab made from our barrels’ staves; and Barrique, the prosciutto from F.lli Galloni refined in Giusti barriques used for Balsamico.
